email on stock rom
 

This question is for my dad. Stock rom on Alltel when going to send/receive emails it takes up to 3 minutes. Mine, when I had the same never took that long. Nor does it on my new Touch Pro. Any ideas or settings he may have changed making it take so long. TIA

You live in a fringe EVDO area? Sounds like data is switching to 1x.

yes most certainly, reception is around 50 % says evdo sometimes other times 1x
