no notification of new text or email messages

For some reason I'm not receiving any notification of new text or email messages (I have it set to vibrate only when receiving either). Any ideas?

If you have to many apps controlling the alerts it causes issues... before anything can be done, what apps do you have... like treo alert, phone alarm, mobile shell, etc..

for email, check your activesync settings and your peak times, etc.

for the text messages..hmm, its even so after soft resets? best bet seems to be to do a back up then do a hard reset

I don't have anything installed that controls alerts. The only things I have installed are:

Sprite Backup
SPB Backup (just trying this one out)
Resco File Explorer
Sling Mobile
AE Button Plus
eWaller
CodeWallet
TCPMP
PHM RegEdit
PocketCM
Space Reclaimer
TCPMP
Palm Threaded SMS
PPCGeeks MMS
Pocket Weather

Just wanted to post an update in case anyone else runs into this problem. I was able to get my notifications working again by first changing the notifications to a sound only. Once I verified that the sounds worked, I changed it to both sound and vibrate. That worked too so I changed it back to vibrate only and sure enough it vibrates when I get a new text or email. I'm not quite sure why this worked but I'm happy that it did. It seems like WM6 is a tad buggy, huh?

I have had the same problem too and it seems to happen after installing new apps. I do the same fix as mentioned above and just go into settings/sounds & notifications and reset the notice for my email and it works again. Nice to know others were having the same issue, thanks
