are you using it as 'use this picture as background' while you are running another theme? if so, what is happening is that the theme is bleaching your image. the only fix i have found (of course, i've only owned this thing, a mogul, for 2 days now, the moto q i had didn't have this issue, that i remember) is to generate a theme file (tsk) using the image as the background. i used themegence. takes a little floundering, as the help links don't work, but you should be able to figure it out.

instead of selecting the image through your wallpaper or background options, simply navigate through your file manager and select the image on your phone..when you tell it to apply this image as your background, it will prompt you for transparency or whatnot..just set that to zero and you're good to go!
As a side note, this will not allow the picture to properly re-orient intself between landscape and portrait so it's only a fix for the washed out image..if you really want a good background photo then you need to do as the above poster said and create your own .tsk (theme file) out of the background picture..try themegence |
