I can verify that this works. I played around with the Altell ROM on mine but went back to my default Sprint ROM for now. Using this fix my keyboard now works in live search

as far as i know, my keyboard works fine, so..... what exactly does this do and is it for the Sprint PPC?

Yes, for Sprint. Some programs, like Live Search, when using the physical keyboard, only will type symbols, not the alphabet, making the real keyboard useless on those programs. Now it can be fixed, no thanks to Sprint

If you have the old ROM on your Mogul then your hardware keyboard worked fine in live search and other .net apps. If you have the latest Sprint ROM then it would type in those apps as if you had the option/alt key held down (@#$#%&*, etc).
