Re-assinging programs to certain file extensions

I installed Picsel Proviewer and that thing was useless, so I uninstalled it to get rid of it. The thing is, it automatically assigned certain extensions, like jpg and html to its program and now that I have it uninstalled, there are no programs that open it automatically. How can I re-assign programs back to their file extensions?

I know Resco file explorer can do it, You can download a free trial. just tap and hold Open->open with and check always use this program to open this file type

Good idea, but I don't really like installing trial software only to uninstall it later. Anyone else have any other suggestions?

If its the jpeg file extention that you want to reassign to Pictures & Videos (default Photo Viewer).. Then check registry key at HKCR\jpegimage\Shell\Open\command\ and check that the string value is pimg.exe "%1"

But I cannot see how to reassign .jpg extention
Seems that changing the value of HKCR\.jpg\(default) seems to cause it to loose it association with a program, but changing it to pimg or ping.exe has not resulted in opening in Pictures & Videos

If someone that has the default file association can post the value of this key it might help you out

You nailed it there. My jpgs and html files just lost association with anything, so I went to HKCR\.jpg, HKCR\.jpeg, and HKCR\.html and gave it a default value of 'jpegimage' and 'htmlfile' and now everything works perfectly. Thanks!
