Problem with external Sound

Hi all i am a new member here just getting my bearings and started having a problem as well.

i have a sprint HTC Mogul.
i had nothing installed but HTC home plugin and Emunuts Customizer.
after installing those two things i now notice that my ringer and vibration shut off during the day. i get calls but the phone doesnt ring. i get text messages but there is no alert. i go into ring tones to see what is happening and press play for the previews and no sound is emitted. i checked my phones master volume and they are both set to high device and ringer.

i uninstalled both and still have the problem. i have since hard cleared my Mogul to factory and still have the problem.
i have installed Spybot S&D mobile, HTC home plugin, TCMP player with flash pack to watch youtube. oxious hibernate and a few themes for the phone.

it works every time i soft reset it but randomly through the day the ringer and vibe will shut off for no reason. the phone is usually locked and in my pocket during the day.

any clues ?

Do not associate wav files with TCPMP (or any other player). It breaks ringtones.

This happens to me as well. I have hard reset and it happens with no extra software loaded. Sometimes I can go a few days before it happens and sometimes only a few hours. A soft reset clears things up for awhile but the problem comes back. I'm hoping the rumored early October update will address this, but I'm not holding my breath.

As to cause, I can't link it to any single event or application.
I haven't checked available memory when it has occurred (just thought of that) but I'll be watching it now for sure. If I notice anything new I'll be sure to post.
