Just Got My Mogul!! Whats some software recommended?
 

just got my mogul like yesterday! Just wanted to know what's some good software that will enhance the mogul!! When to another Forum and came across this........ google maps, cleartemp(or memmaid), pocketrar(if you download apps right from your mogul), Codyppc Threaded SMS cab(it threads text messages like an instant messenger so its one message instead of a million single texts, found at ppcgeeks.com), X-button(fully closes programs by holding "x" in top right corner because the mogul just closes it down but it still runs in the background which uses alot of memory), Arcsoft MMS cab(enables picture mail on mogul), Flash player, and HTC HOME cab ( allows you to customize the homescreen)??

Welcome to the Mogul experience, it has been the best device that I have owned right from day 1 (Apache was great but after a long time and cooked firmware. Beside those I that you mention I use:
Wisbar Lite (cascading Start menut),
TCPMP w/the FLV plugin (watching videos including YouTube),
iLauncher (today screen Launcher),
iGuidance (GPS software), Google Maps,
Resco Explorer (enhanced explorer with Registry editor),
Sprite Backup (backups to card and/or PC),
GSAlarmClock (Best alarm clock I have found),
SPB Phone Suite (Today Screen plug in for profiles, photo speed dial, etc.),
HandyMenu (SoftReset, Hard Reset, etc system tray menu),
PPCPIMBackup (PIM Backup to card),
SK Tools (Lots of utilities),
Opera Mobile and Opera Mini,
WiFiFoFum2 (Wifi hotspot locator (Wardriving),
UPX4PPC (.exe and .dll compression) and a bunch of games.

so how would you download and install on your mogul?

If you use the HTC Home plugin you should also get the htc home customizer here:

you can download the customizer ( hhcv08b_140 zip file at the bottom of the first post) and when you first run it on your ppc it will download all the other stuff that you need. Just be sure that if you are using the X-button app you use version 1.5 instead of 2.0 (there are some comp. issues with 2.0 and the htc home app) and make sure that you have the settings for the x-button app to create a button in the top right of the today screen to close any open apps and have it set to press and hold x to close.

theres a walkthrough as far as youtube goes

to install a program you have to have it on your phone (numerous ways to send/get it there) and then basically click the file/icon on your phone, the file should be a .cab extension, itll open up install itself and just restart your phone.

LMAO! I felt so overwhelmed when I switched from the apache to the mogul...
