Is there a way to stop charging when Mogul is connected with PC via USB?

I would like to add some software and the backup stuff for the newly received replacement Mogul. However, it seems that whenever the device is plugged in with the data cable, the charging starts. And this might be bad for the new battery. Is there a way to disable the usb charging?

Thanks a lot.

doubtful - except with an unpowered USB port maybe? (cheap usb hubs won't give power I think)

I wouldn't be worried about it at all tho - the battery in the mogul is lithium polymer and has no memory at all - people treat them way too carefully... There is no reason not to charge whenever you want... The biggest shortener of it's life will be having to discharge and charge back up - so every hour you have it hooked up to a power outlet where it's not draining the battery is another hour it can live
