8 gig cf card questions??

Is there a way to enable support for this card in my Verizon XV6800 without reflashing the ROM??

Is it possible to format it to (2) 4 gig partitions & then use both in the phone??

TIA guys,

~John

Re: 8 gig cf card questions??

Well you put "cf" up there as in Compact Flash and if that is the case then the answer is no as the 68 uses a Micro SD card.

Yea, that was a typo. I know what it uses, I have a 4 gig in it now.

When I put an 8 gig Sandisk card in it, it only recognizes 1/2 of it although my laptop can use the whole card.

I think it needs to be FAT32 and I have a link to SDHC drivers but you will have to have a SDHC card. Is that what you have?

Re: 8 gig cf card questions??

Hmm.. my xv6800 recognized my 8gb card out of the box, didn't have to make any changes at all. For that matter, so did the one I tested at the Verizon store.
