I am using currently a 4 BG SDHC Sandisk card with more than 2 GB worth of data on it...

My take on the situation is since SDHC isn't "officially" supported with WM5, HTC doesn't say the 6800 is SDHC compliant since there were versions released with WM5.

Obviously it works, in fact people have 4gb SDHC cards running on 6700's with WM6 and even with 6700's with WM5 and the SDHC drivers installed.

So 6800 has hardware support for SDHC and with WM6 it has software support. (at least to 4gb and probably to 32gb.)

Just not HTC official....like on the Kaiser HTC lists support as ...SD 2.0 in the specs, Which is SDHC.

I was thinking of the 4GB file limit on fat32... you cant have larger than 4GB files on fat32...

FAT32 has an 8 TB limit and a 16 TB limit with 64k clusters (not often supported).

FAT16 has a 2 GB limit and a 4 GB limit with 64k clusters (not often supported).

Windows Mobile supports FAT32 volumes and with those limits it will be quite a long time before the OS/FAT becomes an issue here. The limits would be imposed by the hardware.

Why does my 1tb raid system, setup as a fat32 volume, have many many 8-12gb movies on it in 720p?

Either it's not FAT32, or the files are split into chunks. FAT32 really does have a 4GB (minute one byte) limitation for a single file.
