You actually can't at the moment. Those apps are on the ROM and until custom ROMs are developed, you are out of luck.

Do Office Mobile and Adobe Reader really take up that much room?

stearic 09-17-2007 02:19 AM

Why do you not want to use office mobile? or adobe reader for that matter?

actually, while tooling around in the file explorer,i did manage to delete those prog i mentioned.i forgot to check the memory befor i deleted them so i don't actually know if they are completely deleted from the system.i also did a soft reset after that and they still didn't come back.so i think they are gone.and i'm assuming they won't come back unless i do a hard reset, which i don't plan on doing.does all of this sound correct?did i in fact completely delete them?i also wanted to delete them because i don't need them,i only purchased the phone for a better way to send texts and check email, plus my fingers are to fat to use the buttons on the treo 700p i used to own.

You are hardly going to gain any space by getting rid of office mobile and what not.

So you risk screwing up your phone to delete programs that aren't causing an issue for you anyway? I don't get it. http://i.slickdeals.net/images/smilies2/headbang.gif

i always hated having programs in my phone that i don't use,and its been 24 hours since i deleted them and haven't seen any change in the phones performance.and if i screw up the phone, all well, theres always insurance to replace it.

Even if you screw it up, you can just do a hard reset. You can't remove these apps from the ROM.
