Lock on Power Button
 

I've searched some and can't seem to find an answer, so I'll ask you guys. Is it possible to make the phone automatically lock when the power button is pressed?

Search XDA for devicelock. I have it configured when I hit the VC button to suspend and lock the device.

After trying lots of different "auto-lock" options, that one's my favorite...

Hmm, DeviceLock can lock when it comes off standby, which works, but i wanted it to lock before going on standby.

I've also heard that slide2unlock is slow or a memory hog. is that true?

What I did is setup DeviceLock like this:

1. Assigned it to the Voice Speed Dial Button (Button 5 I think).
2. Selected Suspend Device & Easy Unlock from Start > Settings > System > DeviceLock.

This way, in lieu of using the power button to turn off the device, I just use the VC button, which now both locks and turns off the device.

I does use a bit of memory, but there are several options to minimize that (you'll have to look through the readme).

As for being slow, not sure what you're referring to.
