HTC PPC-6800 Alltel WM6 update
I almost cant believe it is true, but it would appear that the HTC website has the WM6 update for alltel's ppc 6800. I'm installing it now, and I will let everyone know if it works.

I didn't see anything posted yet (then again I may have missed it) but I figured I'd put this out here. |

Updated fine; one thing I noticed the total Storage Memory is about 13MB lower than it was with the stock WM5 ROM. I believe it was about 170MB, shows as 157MB on WM6.
No big deal to me though. |
I wish I were not so busy at work today! All I want to do is play with my phone. AARGH!!!!
Works wonderfully so far. One thing i've noticed since getting the Titan. I don't connect at EVDO Speeds as often. With my 6700 I was blazing online, but Titan mmm not so much :( It always shows 1X Anyone else finding this? I'm in the Tampa Bay area. (go bucs! <- that was a joke) |

Then I manually updated the PRL to 40023. Maybe doing all that will help you get a more solid EVDO. I know there was another post with people having EVDO issues with the Titan, and they did a few registry mods; I'll see if I can find the thread. |
Allerj I had the same problem in new mexico. Have been calling tech support without success, but after updating to WM6 I have evdo again.
On the roaming what I found on mine after updating is that the sid had changed to 1 not my local one. I know mine so I changed it back. For those that don't try the earlier post of activating the phone through *228 option 3. Then update prl. Jay |
