oz messenger

I see this app oz messenger on cingular (well at&t I guess) wm-based phones and it's very cool.... I really just want the AIM client out of it... any chance of throwing this on the mogul? or am I just dreaming?

I tried it and it won't sign on to AIM I get a text message back from 9230 "Message sent using invalid number of digits. Please resend using 10 digit number or valid short code. Msg 2114"

that and the keyboard doesn't work due to that .net bug in the new rom version but the other bug seems unrecoverable

tried it, hated it, it's a jabber client that you have to use an AIM transport with

I kept missing messages and it also seemed to kick my backlight on every 15-30 seconds or so....

I think the real answer is an AIM client that uses sms oz style - I know there are addresses that are set up to receive login commands and to create new chats that work with sprint/etc but it doesn't look like anyone has written a generic non-carrier-specific sms aim client....

IM+ is really the best and most full featured IM app on the Pocket PC. Unfortuantely it costs like $39,99 but I honestly think it's worth it. Every IM application I've tried on Windows Mobile sucked horribly compared to IM+

Though, the Windows Live Messenger that comes with WM6 is pretty nice for MSN/Live.

octro seems to be the best as far as draining the battery from what I have seen. How does im do on with the battery?
