Is it possible to image a Titan to another?

Hi-
I had a Verizon 6800 that was working fine until it was dropped. Now I can't get the gps to work on new unit. The radio is a gps enabled ver. Is there software that will let me image on phone to another?

Thanks

Carl

Re: Is it possible to image a Titan to another?

Just backup the current version via trialware version of SPB Backup and then reinstall to the new mogul via micro sd card. Just make sure both the old and the new mogul are running the same rom version to make sure it goes smoothly ! Has worked for me more than once.

So ROM's have to be the same? The old is dcd 3.0.4 and new is 3.57.605.2. Would I need to flash the new phone?

I can't get the gps to work...I installed gpsGate and it will not find a gps device. Any suggestions?

What radio version do you have?

You may have an old radio in which GPS is locked.

Re: Is it possible to image a Titan to another?

The radio is 3.35.04. This is a replacement from insurance. People in the Verizon store tried to moved contacts over today to new phone and the new phone wouldn't accept them. I have the update that installs the same rom/radio as new phone. I'm tempted in install it and see if gps works then. That way I can eliminate software and blame hardware.

Pretty sure nmhusa's resolution will work. SPB Backup has a ROM update feature that will match update your software to work with the newer rom.

Re: Is it possible to image a Titan to another?

I have successfully used the rom upgrade via spb backup on a touch pro. Seems to work on occasion. Worth a try as you have little to lose. If you're lucky it will work just fine and save the headache of matching roms..
