VPN connection

(WM6) Is there any way to create a shortcut for a VPN connection or have it automatically start when trying to access a private IP address??

There's no way to add a shortcut. The only way to automatically launch a vpn session is to either use the netbios name or add the fqdn to the exceptions list. The only place where this won't work is with the rdp client. It'll work fine with IE, Outlook, File Explorer and a few other connection manager aware applications.
