Default Keyboard - IMSelector not working

Just installed IMSelector (Defaul_IM_WM5.cab) on my Alltel PPC-6800 with WM6 and it doesn't work. I installed it, selected "Phone Pad" as the default keyboard, and clicked OK. When I shut-down and reboot the phone it defaults back to the default Microsoft keyboard. I checked the IMSelector settings after reboot and "Phone Pad" is still selected. Anyone know how I can accomplish this? Tried searching here but didn't come up with any results that helped.
