Visual Voice Mail App Rocks

I am using SimulSays, and I think the accuracy is unbelievable. Having a app like the iPhone with my voicemail listed (and transcribed - take that apple fanboys) is the last feature I was looking for on my phone. I have sling, XM, Sirius, all the HTC goods, Oakley ROKR bluetooth glasses, bluetooth GPS, Google and Live maps, Mercora Radio, and by far, the best thing I have is the VoiceMail app. I love the functionality. You don't need to download the app either. I get my messages from Exchange to maintain customer conversations. The transcription is nice and relatively fast and accurate. If you don't like the transcription, hit reply with :redo and the accuracy goes up 2 fold. Has anyone else tried this app, and what are your feelings. Are there better applications? This one is 9.99 a month for 40 messages transcribed, and 25 cents after that. There is a free trial, but you have to call Sprint and have a good tech set up the forwarding. I can assist if anyone is interested.

http://www.simulsays.com - no, I am not affiliated with them at all!!!!

Can you elaborate? The site isn't very helpful. So, are they both services, or only the scribing? And do I really have to go through sprint to set it up, or will the app work on it's own?

It seems they are actually two different services. SimulSays is a free app, while the SimulScribe is $9.99/month. All the reviews seem to think it's still a great deal. However, I've just read that you will need to call sprint and have them change your "No Answer Forwarding" to the SimulSays/Scribe voicemail number, rather than the regular Sprint Voicemail. This doesn't seem to be a problem except Sprint will charge $.20 per minute to do this.

Cool service, but yet another way Sprint will bleed us dry.

I use it on my 6800, and it is compatible. It may not be supported... I agree that it may be pricey, but the free service gives you the visual voicemail app that I wanted from the iPhone. I was not told about the forwarding, I will look at my bill and confirm. Look for future posts regarding additional costs. Yes, you do have to call sprint and get a good tech, or you will not get your phone to ring on incoming calls. It happened to me!

Sprint online is down, it looks pretty (useless), so I will get back to the charges question once I have access to my bill.

After reading the differences between SimulSays and CallWave, it appears that Simul works through your phone and CallWave works through PC based email.

The additional charges will kick butt; expecially if you're someone that gets a lot of voice mail.

The tech confirmed there are charges associated with this type of forwarding. I wish they would charge forwarding to my minutes, but I guess that is life. I will cancel my trial... boo hoooooo
