flashing the 6800
is the 6800 close enough to the 6700 to use the roms from the 6700... if not is the sprint wm6 rom working for alltel or can we flash the 6700 wm6!! rom on the 6800

NO!! Don't do it!

The hardware is way different between the two devices... if you were able to flash to Helmi's Apache WM6, you would be left with a brick... period.

altel 6800 just got realised give it a couple more weeks there will be an official rom from htc

OMG, Why would you want to try WM5 after having Wm6? WM6 is everything that WM5 was, and then some.

why are you so quick to want to brick your phone, i woudn't use any other rom on the alltel phone other than the WM6 that will be comming out shortly. Man peeps are so impatient sometimes.. Just give it a few weeks.. we waited long enough for it just bide ur time..

well i am so impatient to brick my new phone because i flashed my old 6700 2-3 times a day with my custom roms.. seeing that the 6800 enhanced security is giving everyone a headache.

I am an alltel sales rep and I have a 6800. The boss man said that we were to expect it around the 7th of september. pure rumor, but i am getting impatient.

because id like to compare wm5's memory footprint
i had a wm5 device, but it was smartphone. my wm6 mogul is first ppc.
