Help!!!! Lost contacts!

I sold my Moto Q yesterday and I forgot to do a hard reset. The guy at the sprint store transfered the contacts from the new owners phone to the Q and deleted all my contacts. Well the phone still had my exchange settings and proceeded to sync the contacts. This in turn synced to my new mogul so I had all his contacts and none of mine. ALSO, I went home and opened up outlook and watched all my old contacts disappear in front of my eyes at it was syncing with my exchange server.

What can I do?

Do you have a backup utility on your computer? If so then restore to a point prior to syncing. Then go to activesync and clear your partnerships. When you sync for the first time make sure you uncheck contacts. Let it sync and then go to sync options. You should have a option to merge or replace contacts on your device. Check the replace on device and sync again. That should put yours on the device. Hope that works for you.

sweet at least they only got sent to deleted items .. that is a pretty scary story ...

Kinda makes you scared to loose your phone to if you don't password protect it ... people could modify all your stuff and then it syncs to your desktop stuff automatically =)... EEEKK ...

anyhow congrats on the mogul and getting your contacts back ...
