Tips on better Orb performance?

My Orb connection seems to rebuffer (I'm assuming that's what it's doing--TCPMP will pause and the beach ball will appear for a few seconds before continuing again) every five to ten seconds while playing video over my Mogul, which is very annoying. Quality's fantastic, but I can't stand the constant waiting for the video to continue. Audio doesn't seem to have this issue.

Any suggestions on what could be the cause of this or how I might improve this problem? It's not my home connection (Road Runner Extreme at 10/1Mbps and I can stream to my work computer with no problems), and I usually speed test at a little less than 1Mbps over EVDO, although for all I know it's simply not stable enough which could be the problem.

Since I'm new to Pocket PC phones (although not to Pocket PCs or TCPMP), for all I know this is an old issue that everyone resolved a long time ago and it's not addressed anymore, but to me it's new, so I'm hoping someone can help. Anyone?

I switched that early on, but not because of the buffering issue, but because the video was stuttering horribly (maybe getting 5fps at best). So that didn't do anything for the frequent pauses.

*sigh*

If I didn't have the WMV9 codecs, don't you think streaming in WMV9 format wouldn't be working at all for me instead of buffering occasionally?

did you set the speed on the phone side of orb? Mine shows close to one mb speed when I do the test on orb through my phone but I set it at 320kb fixed speed otherwise I get that buffering too. try reducing the streaming speed under settings from your mogul to 320kb or less and then also make sure you use the included Internet Explorer as some of the others don't work well with orb.
Let me know if this helps.

sorry to bring back an old post, but my orb is set to 320kb, and my phone still buffers every 10 sec.

What can I do to have smooth video feeds?

P.S. sorry evilecho, I had to one up you on the link in your sig. http://www.speedtest.net/result/178861337.png
