What bluetooth headset works well with your Mogul?

Mine doesnt....

I bought a Plantronics Discovery 665 for my Mogul last week and the reception is spotty at best.

Sometimes folks can hear me clear as a bell, but most of the time the people on the other end of the line complain about the call quality.

It sounds fine on my end (most of the time) but apparently not so good on the other side.

I have read some threads here about how poor the bluetooth works on the Mogul, but before I return my headset (got a great deal on it at Best Buy), I wanted to see if anyone has one that works well.

Is HTC sending out any kind of upgrade to address the bluetooth problems?

Thanks!

The Motorola H500 sucks. The Motorola S9 headsets work great for listening to music but suck for phone calls as well. Both have the same issue as you describe.

my plantronics explorer 350 works perfectly on both ends...

My Plantronics 665 works great you must have a hardware problem because I assure you there shouldn't be any problems with this combination. I would exchange the 665 first yours might be defective. Just wondering are you using the HTC touch today plug in? There are those that will blame the Mogul and its bluetooth stack for this but that doesnt explain why some have success with there Bluetooth devices and some don't. I personally think this is either a hardware issue (defective Mogul) or something in how some software work together. All my Bluetooth 2.0 compatible devices work very well with my Mogul so don't give up on your 665. I think it is one of the best Bluetooth headsets I have ever owned. I hope this helps you.

I picked up a Moto H700 2 weeks ago and have good luck with it so far. No complaints from anyone on the other end of the phone yet.

UPDATE:

I followed your advice and exchanged the headset for another one today.

Seems like I may have bought a bad headset the first time.

The Plantronics 665 is working perfectly now, no complaints from any callers.

Thanks for the suggestion.

audio quality is great and the call quality is not so great, but i just found some reg hacks to increase the volume of the mic. still testing to see how much it helps.

Sony DR-BT30Q/S

The battery is incredible. The calls seem to work fine. However, in noisy environments the other side says that it is too loud, but I think that is with all mics really. I just love how the battery works for 11 hours. I never buy earbuds anyhow, that's just personal preference. My wired headsets are pretty much the same style.

Im using the Plantronics Discovery 665 and works fine for me and my girlfriend.

You can buy it off of newegg for like 70 shipped, versus Best Buy for 130
