Not to resurrect old news...but I was curious about the note of not exceeding a frame rate value of 19.

Just for kicks (before finding this post), I altered mine to 30 for all of the following keys (assuming it was refering to frames per second):
3GPLarge
3GPMedium
3GPSmall
AVILarge
AVIMedium
AVISmall
MP4Large
MP4Medium
MP4Small

Tell a noob...what am I risking by exceeding 19. It appears to function fine, and is much smoother. Thanks!

When you select 30 FPS in the registry, the recording stops abruptly and says memory full.

Large & CIF Camera Video resolutions hack

HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\P2\MainCamSupportCapSize = dword:0x0A (10)
change to dword:0x3A (58) and you will have Large & CIF resolutions.

Re: tweaking 6800 video camera

nice contributions all, i had seen many of these before and somehow lost track of them.... can somebody port these over to one of the registry threads for safekeeping so they dont get 'lost' again?

From Wikipedia:
CIF (Common Intermediate Format), also known as FCIF (Full Common Intermediate Format), is a format used to standardize the horizontal and vertical resolutions in pixels of YCbCr sequences in video signals, commonly used in video teleconferencing systems. It was first proposed in the H.261 standard.

CIF was designed to be easy to convert to PAL or NTSC standards. CIF defines a video sequence with a resolution of 352×288 like PAL Source Input Format, a framerate of 30000/1001 (roughly 29.97) fps like NTSC

This registry change does not work for me =/ . Also I now have two entries for MainCamSupportCapSize one ending in 3a(58 )the other ending in 0a(10). When I open up the camera and switch to Video Camera Mode, Go to Capture settings I still have S (128*96) and M (176*144). What am I doing wrong?

Did you soft reset your phone after the registry edit?

I'm using Resco Explorer, but I think with PHM Editor it's the same...basically, once I opened up MainCamSupportCapSize , I just changed "10" to "58" and saved, waited 5 minutes, soft reset, then backed up the change using Sprite Backup.

It was that simple (change number, save)
