6800 Volume . . beating a dead horse!

can someone PLEASE send me some various 6800 volume fixes with step by step directions. Ive found a few different one but they are all posted with the assumption the users know how to hack their phones. Im pretty computer literate but Im really new to the PDA phones. I tried a couple audiopara files that just dont work at all and im pretty fed up with missing tons of calls and about ready to get a new phone!

PLEASE HELP ME!!!
THANKS

Re: 6800 Volume . . beating a dead horse!

In order to increase the volume on the 6800 you have to use the program called QPST to increase the limit on the speaker volume. All cell phones have a speaker volume limit in order to increase battery performance and to keep the speakers from shorting out. It can be found in the QPST service programming.

Unfortunately, my 6800 will not sync to Vista at the moment in order to give you a better explanation. I tested this information when I was using QPST to unlock my phone one day. Use at your own risk due to the possibility of causing your speakers to malfunction if the volume is set too high.
