IM+ 4.42 unstable

Other people may or may not be having this problem, but since I upgraded to IM+ 4.42 i've had 6 or so instances where IM+ would freeze up my Mogul.

Usually it would happen when opening the phone during the screen switch.

So I downgraded back to 4.41

when i installed windows live search, pocket stockcenter, etc...i don't see IM+ on my today screen anymore. and when i check under today - items, it's not even listed.

and when i tried to upgrade to 4.42, that didnt help either.

maybe, i have too many apps on my mogul.

what can i do to have this IM+ on my today screen ?

Anyone having trouble keeping IM+ connected? I have noticed that it doesn't stay connected, even in a EV-DO area with great reception. Almost seems like it doesn't reconnect if the connection is broken.

4.42 is working fine on my mogul. no freezes yet. as far as reconnects, I was having the same problem. I was surprised to read on their support site that they suggest setting reconnection attempts to 100-200 since it comes pre-configured to around 3 attempts if I remember right.

seems like a hokey fix but it does stay connected much better with reconnects set at 100. consumes a whole lot of battery life though.

Wow...that seems fishy to me. I wouldn't want it to try and connect 200 times (battery as you said) especially when I am in areas that don't have enough data coverage.

I've had issues with IM+ staying connected forever, so I don't think that's related to 4.42. But one thing I have noticed is that even if I'm disconnected or it's not running, the Today plugin will make it seem I'm still connected. It used to tell me no services were connected.

I've been using 4.42 for quite a while on my Mogul. Very solid and absolutely no issues
