Phone rom corrupted?

I went to use some of my apps today and the icons were missing.. browsed to the start menu (using Resco file explorer) and the shortcuts were missing/there were some invalid files there.

Restarted.. and it's stuck on the sprint yellow bootup screen..

Has anyone else seen this? I'm going to try a hard reset soon (and revert to my one week old backup...)

hard-reset, restore from backup fixed the problem..
