Screen Turning on When Charging or Connected to ActiveSync

Hi Guys, I'm having a problem where my device is automatically turning on (from sleep mode) when I am charging my device or connected to activesync. This is a new problem and is rather annoying. Even when i turn the power off, the device powers back on within minutes. I've changed the activesync settings, power settings, and display settings to no avail. I have installed 4 applications right before the problem started (SPB Insight, Mobipocket Reader, Resco Today plugin, and Resco today 'compact' skin). Do you guys think that any of those programs are causing this problem? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thats strange dcd....I've noticed that mine no longer powers on when it is being charged through a car/wall charger. It only turns on when it is charging through the mini-usb cable and my computers.

What I've observed is that when the device is plugged in via USB or power adapter it will come on each time it needs to send receive data or sync with PC. I bet if you turned off the radio and disabled AS/WMDC on your PC it wont come on.

Yeah, I've also noticed that. I even changed the settings to disable wireless connections while the device is in use by activesync...still a no go. Maybe I will restore to a previous date. After all, that is why I use SPB backup.

theodus: same here mine only does it via activesync

i think that activesync is waking the device up on purpose. maybe if we change the schedule to manually in activesync..

Found out that disabling push email resolves this problem.

I don't have push email and still the same thing happens; whether its USB or AC.

When I plug it in at night (with all lights off), I notice that there is a dim glow on the screen. It's not "On", but the screen has a faint glow. If I turn it on, then off, the glow is gone.

That and I also experience the unit randomly powering on.
