turn off sprint internet only

I'm sure there's an easy way to turn off internet through sprint? how am I missing it?

I'm travelling to china, and would like to keep texting and phone available, but want to turn off internet, so I don't have any random apps that update trying to connect and charging me up the wazoo for international data...

Is this possible somehow?

Re: turn off sprint internet only

I just got back from a trip to Mexico, and had the same question. I found this app from Modaco called NoData. It worked perfectly.

And, don't forget that you can still use wifi. Wifi + skype = my good pal when traveling internationally.

Re: turn off sprint internet only

Hmm...you could always just go for the gusto and delete your internet connection to Sprint under Start -> Settings -> Connections -> Connections -> Advanced -> Select Networks -> Edit -> General -> Delete Settings. Make sure you have the carrier cab ready to re-setup your connection when you get back to the US.

Oh, and regarding Skype, make sure you bring your wired headset. Otherwise the sound comes through the speakerphone and is pretty bad with feedback. Bluetooth may work, but I didn't try.
