just moved, have question about signal strength.

I just moved from MI to TN. My signal strength in MI was great almost anywhere I had to go. I just moved to Murfreesboro TN. My signal strength is garbage here. The funny thing is I was here last year and my singal strength was fine. So my question is: is there something I can do myself (aside from a soft reset) to get better signal? A setting that I missed, a reg edit, do I need to visit my local sprit store for something? my battery is drained by the end of the day from doing nothing but looking for a signal. Im running spring stock rom 3.35.651.2. Im not opposed to running a kitchen rom if that will help, but It seemed like a difficult process, so I never tried it.

Update your prl. Not sure on the procedure for spint but I think you have to call them and have it done.

There is a 3,56 Sprint ROM available at HTC which may include an updated radio.

that update came out in 07, unless he bought his mogul a LONG time ago, he probably bought it with the 6.1 rom and new radio in it.... if not, he'd be on 6.0 still

thank you for the tip. I did the prl thing. But sadly Its not helping. The sprint opperater did say there is a few other things they could try if the prl update didn't help. Though he didn't say what they were exactly. I plan to call them again monday morning when I get a free moment.

Re: just moved, have question about signal strength.

I doubt a radio upgrade would really help your signal that much.

Re: just moved, have question about signal strength.

Upgrade the radio to Titan Radio ROM 3.42.50, I guarantee it will help, sprints radio sucks donkey compared to titan! I am a believer, I had no signal in my house and now have 2 bars when making calls, do it.
