Re: anyone else have this problem?

It's been awhile since I've torn apart any of my Titans, but *I BELIEVE* the digitizer and LCD have two separate flex cables. Replacing a digitizer isn't hard, but you can crack your LCD in the process (done it). Digitizers are pretty cheap, check eBay. You'll most likely need to solder the new flex cable, so be careful.

As for the keyboard, try finding a replacement keyboard on eBay. I purchased one for $20 after shipping and handling and it's working great after several months. The keyboard issues are common on the Titans, so I would expect any replacement keyboard to eventually show the same problems.

Re: anyone else have this problem?

oh ic, i just saw it on ebay. i thought it was just the flex wire. how do i know for sure its the digitizer vs. just the flex wire?

because the screen works (lights up like normal with no blurs or issues) just when i use the touch part nothing happens.
also everything was working just fine till i opened it, cleaned it and closed it. i didnt disconnect the flex wire that connected the screen to the main board. i only disconnected the flex wire that connected the keyboard, but the keyboards has worked like crap for a year now.

Re: anyone else have this problem?

if the touch screen functionality doesn't work, it's the digitizer. it could be the ribbon from the digitizer that is messed up, but even if it's not.... the digitizer needs replaced.

Re: anyone else have this problem?

im curious now, how delicate is the digitizer screen?
i guess i was pressing kinda hard to clean all the edges with soap and water. so im not sure if its the soap and water that damaged it or my pressing on it kinda hard.

just wanted to know so not to make the mistake again in the future.

From my experience, the digitizer is plastic, but the glass that it sits on is... well... glass. The glass piece is the fragile part.

how do i fix it if its keyboard problem?
It doesn't appear as if anything is wrong.

That looks like the newly innovated automatic text abbreviation feature recently introduced by your carrier.

Re: anyone else have this problem?

First you never use soap and water on electrical components. That is probably your main problem.

Re: anyone else have this problem?

the water is not on the components. it was just on the screen and nothing else.
