USB outlet getting worn out?

Seems as if a little giggle gets my connection reset or if the phone isnt laying just right the phone might not charge. MY phone acts like the USB plug is worn out or worn oversized.

Can this be corrected? Could I take the phone apart and apply pressure on the miniUSB plug to make it "tight" again?

you could but you might end up doing more damage unless you really know what you are doing, best suggestion is to get a replacement.

Sounds like an insurance claim.

Im eligable for upgrade and Alltel has had the touch (pro?) online special price for $70. Might just do that since the store will match the online offer.

If you dont have a beat up phone and you have insurance with the extended warranty they should replace it free.

This is a known issue, take it in to a store, they'll probably give you a refurbished phone, I went through 4 with this issue.

The OEM cable is of poor quality. Swapped for a higher quality cable and it fits perfect.

Well I got a touch pro today, lol. 179 before $100 mail-in rebate!

Anyone want to buy an Alltel HTC PPC 6800? lol
