Cant find answear!!!

How do you stop the ringer from ringing when recieving a text or email.. ive hit every button to try to make it stop and it keeps playing.. Please help!! also if i turn the phone off hitting the power button once the ringing stops but the vibrate still goes and if i turn it back on it starts ringing again..

just go to settings -> sounds & notifications -> notifications and customize from there

Theres nothing there that helps me with what i need to do.. i want to cancel the notification that i got the text.. like you can ignore a phone call to shut the ringing up.

you cant. make a shorter ringtine for the alerts. thats the ANSWER!

I think i have the answer...

I read in other forums that to stop the ring you need to scroll on the scrolling wheel...if you just move that lil buddy it should stop. Have you tried using the wheel? Try it and let me know if that really solved your solution.
