Ok after hours and hours of searching, and trying to get things to work, i need help. I have the code to get into ##778#, I have QPST and finally got it to connect to my phone, now where im stuck, the NVM folder is locked and i can't figure out what to do next. Any help would be appreciated, im new to all of this, just trying not to kill the phone lol. wow esn swaps are hard

OH yea, since i got the drivers to work to connect the phone to QPST i can't connect to active sync anymore. Was trying to transfer the 00069 prl to the phone

OK ESN part is done, have 00069 metro prl. sprint 3.35 rom (didn't let it do the updates after loading), MSID, MIN, and MDN changed to my #. But when i try to make a call i get welcome to american roaming network. If i dial 611 my account info is there. Just when i try to make a call it won't go. I picked a good one for my first time hacking a phone i guess lol

EDIT: I think im about to try a different program on the phone instead of the sprint 3.35 maybe thats my problem

Maybe you should try the 2001 prl or even better the 2002 since what could be happening is that your phone isn't picking the Metropcs towers since the prl is old. Hope this helps.

ok first if your trying to swap esn in your phone you have to unlock you radio, running olipro unlocker will only unlock your rom.YOU STILL HAVE TO UNLOCK YOUR RADIO. your phone wont accept the esn and might brick it.

Alright changed to the 02001 PRL, I did the SuperCID with mtty.exe forgot to mention that sorry. But with the 2001 PRL off of the corolada site, didn't see the 2002 on there. Still get the same welcome to the american roaming network. thanks for the ideas though, any more?

alright got the 2002 prl and still same results. Guess im going to call it a night and start again tomorrow

anybody else got any ideas?

Is there anyway i can get into my metro phone that i got the esn from and check some of the #s programmed in it to make sure its all right? Its a kyocera k312p

So anyone else doesn't have to read through all the post to see what all was done to the phone. installed olipro 2.40, 3.35 radio, supercid w/mtty.exe, changed ESN with CDMA tools (never got nvm unlocked to do it with QPST) changed all other settings by ##778#, running 2002 prl, running a custom rom now. If i dial 611 i get my account info, any other calls I get "welcome to the american roaming network"

YAY I GOT IT WORKING, read a thread about the roaming where the MIN # was different, well my min # different, called metro and asked for the # no questions asked they gave it to me and its working, about to try and set up the mms and web now

I think i might have to go back to the sprint rom though, the menu is different in the rom im running now i can't set the web up like some other posts say. atleast calls and text are working now though

This rom has and arcsoft sms/mms running my text, im about to see if it will send a pic

Can send and receive MMS messages, but no web with IE or opera mini, I can live with that if i have to though

like the 5th edit lol. No internet, i think the mms is working because of my wireless internet in the house, i remember seeing something about having to have internet to send the mms messages.
