MP3 Ringtone Volume

I added an MP3 ringtone to my Mogul. I am not able to adjust the volume of the MP3 ringtone like the other ringtones that come with the phone. It plays loud all the time. Anyone having an issue with that, or if you had one and fixed it, how did you fix it? Thanks.

The volume should be able to be adjusted like you would normally do it. Click the speaker icon, and use the slider on the left side to adjust the volume. If thats not working i don't know what to tell you about what could be wrong.

You can always increase the volume of the mp3 file itself.

I'm not sure if the Mogul reads the volume tag in the MP3, but if not, you can still manually amplify the mp3 then re-save it using an mp3 editor.

I've tried this with wave pad it doesn't make a noticeable difference the, difference can be heard clearly in wmp but not when set as a ring tone its like the phone has a volume restriction for ring tones

Did you try doing the audiopara.csv "coarse" setting hack to increase the speaker volumes?

I dunno, with the "coarse" hack + using Audacity to amplify my mp3's to the maximum (just before clipping occurs) the mp3's are quite loud when the phone rings for me.

When we made the first MP3 ringtone and added it to my phone, it wouldn't play loud enough to hear well. We created another MP3 of the same tune but tweaked it louder. Added that MP3 file to the phone and it plays loud. Only problem I have now is the volume control won't adjust the loudness of the ringtone, and we don't know why. We used Sound Forge, which is pricy, but Sound Forge Audio Studio is reasonably priced.

cant hear the beat

I have soundforge and I clipped a 15 sec sample, ran the volume up to 500% and its still not giving me a ringer I can hear from another room.

Totally lost on this one -- anyone have any suggestions?

I'll start testing Train sounds and converting those to wav files for editing next........
