I used wavepad to increase ringers up 300%. With mogul volume up all the way, they are quite loud for for me. I've had to go back and bring the level down on some.

Something that might help is also adjusting the bitrate of the mp3. Higher bitrates sound good, but don't get as loud. Takes too much for the speaker to play that much of the spectrum.

Another thing to try would be normalizing or compressing. This will change the perceived "loudness" by making the quieter parts almost as loud as the loud parts. It's why TV commercials sound louder than the TV show.

If you're having problems, send me one. I'll jack it up!

increase volume of mp3 files

try using MP3 GAIN

http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/

I use it to normalize sound of mp3 files so they are all the same sound level when burning cds and to increase the volume for creation of ringtones...hope this helps
