Cases???

Any ideas of when there will be a good selection of cases?
I usually buy 2 or 3 for my phones.
I love the rubberized case for my Q and the clamshell case for my 6700.
Now I'm anxious for one for my 6800.
Thanks for any info.

None yet that I know of short of buying a generic case and seeing how it fits (like what I'm using now - a slipcase that covers the entire screen and most of the device). Still waiting for one myself.

There will probably be plenty of horizontal cases pretty soon seeing as how this phone is pretty popular.

However, if you are like me and prefer vertical cases... you'll be limited to a select few. Most cases use magnetic clasps and in the case of vertical cases, the magnetic clasp tends to activate the screen rotation on the Mogul. (I think this was an issue with the 6700 also)

I'm currently using a vertical case sold by T-mobile for the Wing. It's perforated leather with a stationary belt clip similar the the factory Mogul one. The top is a open top design. So, if you find yourself jumping or running alot, I'd look at a different case.

My suggestion is to look for cases that'll fit the HTC Wing. Same exterior dimension as the Titan. Wing cases should be easier to find since it is GSM.

I tried Blackberry's OEM Vertical cases from Best Buy also. Try slipping it in and out in a quiet area. You'll hear that the screen rotates. The first BB case I tried did it about 80% of the time so I exchanged it. The second case only did it about 20% of the time. If you do it enough times you will hear the screen rotation tone.

Again, try slipping it in and out of the VERTICAL case in a quiet area. Don't look for the screen to be rotated when you pull it out. You have to listen for the tone.

Near the magnet, the screen landscapes. Pull it away and it'll rotate back.

I've always been a fan of vertical plastic holsters.

I'll have to dig around for this, as all I want is a nice simple pouch I can tuck my phone into. I hate belt clips, especially since all I want to do is just drop the phone into a pocket. Just want some kind of protection around it.

Verizon Treo Holster fits the Mogul

i had the 700wx and the verizon holster. i managed to file down the two plastic pieces that hook into the treo till they were nearly flat. Now the holster holds the Mogul with the battery cover facing out. It is very secure and has worked great for me. i hate horizontal cases and absolutely love holsters.

I'm waiting for Krusell to put out their Red Line Dynamic case for the 6800. They make it for the Tytn so I'm hoping they'll make it for the Mogul/6800.

They have the Tytn version on their site but apparently I can't post links yet so you'll have to find it on your own. :P

I love my Treo 650's case and this looks like it's the closest that I can come to that.
