Broadband password goes away

I have a user with an XV6800. It's flashed with custom ROM made from a kitchen last year. It's been working fine except one consistent problem. It is continuously losing it's broadband password. She keeps crying about it. What does it take to make this friggin' thing save the god blessed password please?

I dont know that I would call cell data broadband but I know what you are saying. Since you are using a ROM from an older kitchen why not trying upgrading her to a newer ROM where that bug may have been resolved?

I haven't gotten any confirmation that it is indeed a bug. No one else has commented on it. I'm not disagreeing with you. It's certainly a good idea, but this is a lawyer we're talking about. You ever work for lawyers? If you haven't, DON'T. Changing her phone in the slightest manner will mean hours of meaningless support from me.

I believe that is only a registry edit that needs to be modified. I have the same problem on my Touch Pro...

try to go to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ConnMgr\Providers\{7C4B7A3 8-5FF7-4bc1-80F6-5DA7870BB1AA}\Connections\Sprint :RequirePw change from 1 to 0

I know your phone is the xv6800, so i think that instead of Sprint should be Verizon.

Thanks. I just re-flashed the phone in an effort to fix this problem and a few others. If this doesn't fix it, I'll try that reg entry.

Just an update, the re-flash worked. No problems since. If it comes back, I'll try that Reg fix.
