camera stopped working...

i have been testing 6.5 and went back to my personal rom... noticed today on 6.1 the camera freezes the phone. i have to soft reset. i re flashed my rom a couple times. nothing. whats going on?

I had this happen on my totally Stock Sprint Touch Pro a week or so ago....I soft reset it a few times and just as I thought I was going to have to do a Hard Reset it started working again....Not sure what happened but it has been fine since! I did, in the process of getting ready for the Hard reset, remove a small video clip that I had takin, that was showing in the Pictures tab....that I suspect might have been what was causing the problem...If you have any video stored on your phone, try removing it, then do a soft reset, and see if that helps!

ok. yesterday i put a 850mb video on my sd card. just deleted it and still freezes my phone. i even have my rom cleaned of any big files... it runs at 23mb fully built. im so confused.

try removing the sd card, soft resetting your phone, and using the camera w/o the sd card. probably won't help, but just thinking of some alternatives.

i figured it out..... these new roms have some kernel thing... in the settings... it was on the wm6.5 rom.... you can set it from camera disabled to enabled. but my rom dont have it. so i guess i have to flash back to 6.5 to change that.

i was going to say that as well. But i didn't know if you had it already or not. Yes, nueKernel comes with that option now, I keep mine in high mem mode because of the small mem leak still there.

so there is a leak with the newest builds? i noticed severe memory loss turning my camera back on. and i mean huge. went from 17 (when its normally 22mb), and a few minutes later its 3mb. my rom doesnt have the kernel app that allowes me to change it... only the 6.5 rom has it. where can i download it?

i already have it. i dont want to use it. its to bulky for being a base. my personal rom is nicer and runs better. i did test it out for a few days now but dont want to use it. im just going to use my rom until the newer os loses some weight or i pick up a touch pro.
