Flash Alltel 6800 with Verizon Rom?
 

I'm trying to flash an Alltel 6800 with the Verizon rom so I can try and convince Verizon to add the ESN to their network. When trying to flash it to the stock Verizon rom using RRU it's telling me the phone isn't for the correct carrier and when trying to flash from memory card I'm getting "Not allow".

Anyone have any tricks to make this work?

You have to unlock the phone with 2.47 unlocker first.

Unlock the phone then flash Verizon ROM. Then change the PRL out and just do a *228 for activation. It takes far too long to get a non-native ESN on Verizon. I don't know why people try. Just do *228 option 3 and enter 10 digit phone number and pin.

*228 option 3 is no longer working for activating non Verizon phones. They fixed the glitch that allowed for adding.

Aww really? Have you tried it? I was gonna port a 6900 over to it. Leave it Verizon to keep the doors locked...

Yes look here. There is a lot of discussion on trying to get non verizon phones added.
