keeps rebooting on its own

I have an HTC MOGUL and hard reset it the other day because i wanted to reinstall things onto the memory card rather than the phone. I am new to the ppc world and I should of done it that way first but like i said I am new to this. Anyway after I did the hard reset it now reboots on its own. I contacted htc & they had me reinstall windows. that didnt seem to make any differance. Does anyone have any suggestions? can email me at makskylan@yahoo.com

Re: keeps rebooting on its own

Does it boot into windows for a few seconds, and then randomly reboot? If so. I was last night trying to upgrade mine for the first time. The Unlocker I used was too old and screwed everything up... I installed a new Radio and it fixed it.

sometimes it will boot to the today screen and sometime it will not boot past the HTC screen that first pops up. What is a new "radio"? I am new to the ppc phones.

Sounds like a bootloader problem to me. Where did you get this new copy of "windows" you spoke of.

If I were you I would install the newest copy of Windows Mobile that Sprint has on your website when you log in to pay your bill, etc. Ask them to direct you but don't go into a lot of explanation what happens, just ask them where the download is for the most recent operating system.

Your problem should fix itself if you reinstall that version, as it reinstalls the newest Sprint signed bootloader, radio, and ROM.

Re: keeps rebooting on its own

makskylan did this ever work for you? i'm having the same problem. I have no problems installing a stock rom but, what if the phone reboots during the process and bricks it.
