TETHERING Answered!

If your using the HTC Mogul from Sprint Via USB, this works for me EVERY time.

1 - Make sure Phone is disconnected from the Computer.

2 - Go to the Internet Sharing Program on the Mogul under Programs, Start the connection, then it will say verifing USB Connection.

3 - After it says verifing connection plug the USB cable up and wait for it to connect.

Thats all you have to do.
I did a speed test and I got 700 Down and 100 up. Now personally that isnt bad to be able to use your laptop while your in the car or the park or wherever you are.

Im not sure if Im going to be charged for that, but I did not use the option that said Sprint phone as a modem, I just used the normal Sprint PCS connection and it works perfectly for me, if you have any questions please ask.

well, I got it to sync and (phone as modem) via BT too now, I guess that hard reset really does help. Other than that i have no idea what I just did to make this work.

Please let us know how much data you used and whether sprint charges you. if it is anything like the 6700, then the sky's the limit, but maybe there's a cap to stay under the radar.

Thanks and good luck. i hope it works out for all of us!

My method of tethering is to start up internet exploer first let it dial up into the network. Then I open up internet sharing with the usb cable disconnected. Once it says connect usb cable plug it in windows will configure as a windows mobile internet sharing device and it works every single time. The thing that;s been happening pretty frequently while doing this is after a few days usage I start to get error 67's and cant connect to the network without doing a hard reset or restoring to an earlier date. So I suggest you back up pretty frequently if you plan to use this method of tethering. I usally get about 700-1100 kbps down and 112-140kbps up. Not bad for phone as a modem. Right now um tethering using bluetooth PAN. it's pretty slugish but gets the job done for free wireless internet usage.
