Just noticed that problem... we should take a look and see if wed only need certain files which do not have the expiry date in them...

you're right. The reason I never noticed wsa becaused I still use the "OLD" E Java program. When I try to open up the NEW one, it opens and then closes. Timebomb!? Anyway, I never really needed the second one, the OLD E JAVA still works for me, and GMAIL still functions, so I don't care about teh NEW JAva being timebombed.

Your old java program should still work though right? Mine seems to.

I switched to Tao Intent (1023) instead of finding an old Esmertec to install. Seems to work well enough.

Ok... I am new to this board, but have been browsing it for a bit...
I am glad someone touched on this issue...

I have been using the Intent Midlet for a couple of weeks and all is mostly great... like someone said, 80%...

The best reasons I can come up with to get this working with the originial Java program are:
* No need for duplicate Java programs.
* Assigning hardware buttons to apps (haven't figured out how to with Intent)
* Maybe more stable ?

I tried it out and commented on it on xda, it works great so far, so if you have a non-working E, maybe this is better.

Ah, this new version of Jbed is working beautifully! Full screen is rather nice, and jbed takes up so much less storage than tao.
