Direct Connect on ppc6800

Just out of curiosity, can the 6800 be set up and used as direct connect?.

nawh, i dont believe so. DC is a nextel thing, sprint had ready link, but that was a device contingent svc. and 6800 wasnt/isnt compatible with RL, unless sum miracle occurred where now it can

Not on a mogul - or any HTC device that I'm aware of. A few Sanyo, Samsung, and Motorola phones are carrying Direct Connect on the iden and/or EVDO network. Most recently Sprint rolled out the Blackberry with Direct Connect. www.sprint.com allows you to search for phones by direct connect. It can give you a good ide what they do have to offer.

Palringo is an IM software that will allow you to do something like DC but the other person also needs to have it installed on thier device.
