Is there any type of device lock that can be integrated with the rom so that it can withstand a hard reset?

A hard reset wipes everything on the device but not the card as you already know. What is it you are trying to do?

Is there a device lock that will still be enable after a hard reset. Making the phone useless if stolen.

i know of some software that will tell you where your device is via GPS and some that you can hard reset remotely. Is that something like what you are looking for?

I have smartphone tracker but I was just trying to find a way to have my phone locked if hard reset. That way anyone who gets my phone can't use it if it is hard reset.

Honestly, not really. The only hope you can have in such a situation is that the person isn't smart enough to know to hard reset it. Otherwise, one can hard reset a phone within a minute of finding it/stealing it if they know how to. And once it's hard reset, it's back to factory condition and any lock/tracker/software installed prior to the reset would be gone.

Maybe on somthing like the 6700 with an external ROM where you vould unlock it, add software and relock it, that might work. The Ext ROM was not affected my hard reset and the infomarion or software would stay. But there are no more Ext ROMs on these newer devices.

I was just thinking there was a way to incorporate a device lock in the rom files.

Im sure you can add the app in the Kitchen, that isnt an issue. But the question is can you write a script to run the app on a hard reset and make it to where it will not be byp*****.
