Keyboard backlight sensor sensitivity

Is there a way to adjust the keyboard backlight sensor sensitivity?

Mine seems to only come on when it is really really dark. I find the keys hard to read with the backlight off in low/dim light.

If it isn't dark enough but you want the light on put your finger over the sensor and then hit the space bar. Comes on for me. Or just turn the sensor off completely....

It needed to be really dark for it to automatically come on for me. In addition, the light sensor only monitors light levels when you first open the keyboard. If you open it in a bright room and go to a dark one the lights will stay off.

I ended up just disabling the sensor and setting it to turn on anytime I slide the keyboard out.

I have also run into this problem, I have found that just swiping my thumb across the sensor is enough to trigger it usually (I don't press space, but may try it next time I feel the delay). It would be nice to see a sensitivity setting maybe a 1-10 value that could be translated to lux scaling.
