program that reads text out loud
just wondering if there any software out there that reads selected text or even a text message similar to TEXT SPEECH PRO.

not bad for freeware, but even the author says there are some bugs:
"The main author of FLITE, Kevin A. Lenzo, excuses the "poor" speech quality." any other good retail apps? thanks.

Yeah, I used to have this enabled... Until I was out on a business trip surrounded by clients when I got a message from my girlfriend (at the time) asking me my thoughts on "Road Head"
I quickly disabled that feature, LOL...

voice command does this? how do you tell it to read something back to you?
also, is there a way to slow down the voice a little bit? thanks!

Voice Command only reads text messages and email headers when they come in. It cannot read general text. If you want to enable this on VC, go into the Messaging settings in VC and uncheck the "High Priority Only" box.
