HTC Mogul aka PPC 6800 / Disabling Service providing Interne

Hello PPC Geeks,

I am having a little problem with my Mogul. I am running WM6

Basically my wireless service provider is Sprint. I have Wi-Fi technology on my PPC. When I enable my Wi-Fi and connect to Internet, through my wireless router at home, it also connects to SPRINT's power vision service and I get charged per KB.

And when I hit the switch to off. And try to use Internet I still can access internet. I don't know how to lock the stupid things, how to disable it.

I was wondering if anybody can help me out with blocking the Sprints Power Visions on the phone, so if there is no wireless connection available then I cannot access internet.

Thank you,

P.S. maybe there is a program or some kind of modification to the registry. Or maybe it is not even possible.

Help me out PPC GEEKS!

Here's what you do :goto \windows directory, then copy SPCS_Connections.xml to your computer. Then open it with notepad and delete everything, then copy back into \windows directory with resco explorer or total commander. Now goto settings>connections and then tap connections, tap Advanced, tap Select networks, select Sprint, tap General at the bottom and delete the Sprint settings. Now you have no Sprint vision, and just hard reset to restore

I experience the same thing with certain apps, for example activesync seems to always go over vision, while IE will use the wifi when its on. I do not want to get rid of vision as I use it when I am not in wifi coverage. Cant we specify network device priority globally? Or disable vision only when wifi is enabled? I have unlimited data so its not the end of the world, but im in a 1XRTT area and my wifi network has a 10mb net pipe, so obviously I want to use it....

Go to Settings / Connections / Wi-Fi.

Choose your access point from the Configure Wireless Networks.

Make sure it says: "Connects to: The Internet"

Next pick the Network Adapters tab at the bottom.

Make sure this page says "My Network card connects to: The Internet"

Save your settings.

See if that helps any.
