Htc Phone Pad Input for Mogul is missing!!!

I had a ppc6700 and just recently received my ppc6800 everything was pretty cool except there is no HTC PHONE PAD INPUT. The 6700 had it on version 1.0, but Mogul didnt. Instead they replaced it with HTC SYMBOL PAD INPUT!!! what a waste of space.

Does anyone know a site the would let me download the HTC PHONE PAD INPUT. I have been searching. I even checked if anyone had already posted about it here but I got nothing.

It would be really nice to get instant access to a touch screen large letters phone pad input instead of using the qwerty keyboard.

I am confused, can you post a screenshot of what you are looking for? You don't like the stock dial pad?

I think he's saying there's an input device that was on the 6700 that allowed you to use a dial pad for input (vs keyboard, letter recog, etc). I've never heard of this or seen this, since I've never had a 6700, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't exist for the 6800.

This may not be what he's talking about, but with the onscreen dial pad, you can search by name. For example, you would type in 262 for BOB.

yeah that works too. I happen to like the finger flick contacts program

picture of phone pad available on 6700 not on 6800

I was talking about the one you use to text a message like on regular non pda phones the ones that has number 1 with abc and 2 as def and so on. picture is attached. :D

lol alright dude. I can't help you with that one. One of the main reasons I ordered the Mogul besides the platform is the keyboard :-P

^ x2.

Not sure why anyone would get a $600 Pocket PC so they could type text messages the old fashioned way. :p

Well this could be useful if you need to type a quick text message can can't/don't want to open the slide-out keyboard.

Yup thats exactly what I wanted it for. Instead of sliding the keyboard, It would be much easier to use the phone pad for short messages. I use the keyboard for emails, word and others.
