No backlight control

As of right now, my backlight will on come on with full brightness if its plugged into a charger. Regardless of battery power remaining, if I go and move the slider for the brightness, nothing happens. The backlight stays dimmed always unless on external power.

I had just installed PhoneAlarm when it started sorta glitching and then the screen dimmed and stayed that way. I uninstalled the program and did soft reset and still get no reaction to moving the slider for brightness.

Any thoughts?

alright, I have a feeling it had something to do with the PhoneAlarms settings overriding the factory settings. I reinstalled PA and adjusted the settings to 100% on the backlight and its ok now.

to those who have this program running, are these glitches common? also, if I should choose to uninstall PA again, would I need to hard reset to get back the backlight settings?

well, it seems PA is what caused it. i uninstalled it again and everyhting seems to work fine. doubt ill re-install again due to it being so buggy. anyone else have problems with it? it really slows things down alot too.

Phone Alarm is a pretty good application... but it is known to cause conflicts here and there, with different softward configurations and stuff. You can usually fix it with tweaking here and there.

I am having the same problem with the backlight being extremely dim when the phone is charging. I didn't notice it until I had to charge it in the car today and couldn't see the screen to make a call. I don't have PA installed and never have. Any ideas?

UPDATE: Found the problem... Somehow in the camera menu under "advanced settings" the setting got changed to keep backlight off. Funny thing is, I haven't even used the camera on this thing yet. Stupid friends
