Bluetooth sucks on my mogul! PDANet doesn't work.

using one of No2Chem's roms. my mogul's bluetooth sucks. Activesync doesn't work with my laptop because it always says ports are not available (bull****). My laptop can't find the phone when it's searching for devices (discovery is on) even though it finds all the phones of people around me...

sometimes restarts work, often they do not.

Sometimes it randomly connects and i can sync. but it disconnects by itself after a few minutes and can't reconnect because ports are suddenly gone or my laptop can't find my phone.

I NEED bluetooth because i use PDANet heavily and the USB plug on my phone is dead and only charges, doesn't do data anymore.

PDANet has a wifi feature for connection, but it doesn't work. Keeps saying there isn't a wifi connection when there is...

ROM upgrade? New phone? One with an ironclad bluetooth connectivity?

..there's always good'ol WMWifiRouter ...no cable needed

WMWifiRouter doesn't work either. I don't remember the exact reason why because it was a month ago when I tried it, but I REALLY tried it and it just didn't do anything. I got as far as being able to see the connection my Mogul was broadcasting, and I THINK I could connect to it, but I just wasn't getting any internet. Plus the battery drain is absolutely ridiculous.

BTW, is there some kind of timeout for bluetooth connections? When I actually get a solid connection to PDANet over the Bluetooth, it will just randomly cut off and disconnect after a number of minutes. The connection isn't even idle during that time either; I'm actively browsing the web when the stupid thing disconnects. And reconnection usually fails.

What is going on?

ive been using wmwifi for months now on my mogul, works flawlessly... and you didnt "really try it"... you barely tried, since afterall you couldnt get it to work.. hence you have no clue how it affects the battery... i can use it for 2 hrs str8 from a full charge no problem.. so the battery drain isnt "absolutely ridiculous"... get it running properly and stop connect/dsconnecting a million times to get it to work....once its running, then make an opinion
